December 5, 2006: Interdisciplinary Speed Networking
When: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Where: Blue Express Dining Hall, LSRC Building
Why: The Center for Integrated Education, Research, and Development and the Office of Graduate Student Affairs are sponsoring this event to connect students and faculty doing interdisciplinary research with the hope of creating collaborations and broadening the approaches taken to research at Duke.
What
The speed networking session will take place from 5-6 pm. The eleven Duke faculty to the right have graciously agreed to participate in this project. You can find their profile, including the types of research and skill-related connections they are interested in making, by clicking on their name. If you received an e-mail about this event, one or more faculty are specifically interested in meeting with students in your department.
Registration
Attendance is limited, thus registration is required. Select students who fill out the registration form will be selected, based on best match, to participate in the speed networking portion of the event. All students who complete the registration will be invited to attend the Interdisciplinary Networking Reception to be held from 6-7 p.m.
Please click on the names for more information about the research interests of each faculty member. Then click here to submit your registration and a list of faculty you would like to meet during the speed networking session by Friday, December 1 at 5 p.m.
