Mailing Lists

Graduate students at Duke are welcome participants in a number of newsgroups, bulletin boards, and mailing lists. Mailing lists seem to be the most active and preferred group communication tool. Below are a few lists to which graduate students often subscribe.

NOTE: Clicking on any of the list names above will automatically pull up either a subscription site or an e-mail message preaddressed for a subscription request. In the body of your subscription request, just type “Subscribe listname” (no quotation marks and substituting the name of the list as it appears in the subheadings above.) No other words, characters, or signature blocks should be included in your message.

bgpsa

Subscribe to this list if you would like to participate in the activities of the Black Graduate and Professional Student Association (BGPSA).

Career Center

The Career Center’s three e-mail lists for graduate students may help you stay on top of the latest career news and information for students in your disciplinary division. You may subscribe to one or more of the mailing lists we manage. Career Center counselors post information about job opportunities, workshops, and other events on career-specific topics and fields. Subscribe through the graduate student section of our Web site.

eduke

Duke’s Office of News and Information sponsors three lists. Their daily news digest (eDuke daily) summarizes local news relevant to the Duke community. Another daily list (eDuke media clips) picks up on mentions of Duke faculty and students in the national media. Their third list (eDuke monthly) compiles highlights from the daily news and media clips on a monthly basis. To subscribe to any or all of these lists visit.

gradparents

Graduate students with children use this list to plan family outings, to request recommendations for child care services, and to suggest and announce events sponsored by the Graduate and Professional Parents (GAPP) student group.

gradwomen

Women’s Center staff maintained this highly active list. It serves as a place to announce events sponsored by the Graduate and Professional Women’s Network (GPWN), to post items for sale, to request recommendations for local vendors and services, and to discuss current issues and news events.

International House lists

The International House sponsors several lists of interest to international students and their spouses. Please click the link above for a complete listing.
